My name is Tan, and for generations, my family has been deeply immersed in the world of natural gemstones — from the fiery brilliance of rubies and the rich depth of sapphires to the lush green of emeralds. This heritage is more than a business; it’s a passion passed down through time, rooted in craftsmanship, beauty, and respect for nature’s treasures.

In 2015, I traveled to Southeast Asia with my parents to source gemstones firsthand. What I witnessed there changed everything. The environmental impact of traditional mining — from habitat destruction to water pollution — was far greater than I had imagined. That journey planted a new mission in my heart: to honor our family’s cultural legacy while creating jewelry that is genuinely kinder to the planet.

At the same time, I saw another reality. The high cost of natural gemstones puts them out of reach for most people, and the unpredictable supply chain often means customers wait up to six months for their orders. Thousands of women around the world struggle to find beautiful, meaningful jewelry that fits their style, budget, and timeline.

To understand these challenges more deeply, we gathered detailed feedback from over 2,000 women across more than 20 countries. Their stories revealed that the same pain points — affordability, availability, customization limitations, and long wait times — had never been fully solved by the traditional jewelry industry.
